In August 2023 we provided new school uniforms to 8 local primary schools Croftmalloch, Falla hill, Longridge, Polkemmet, St John the Baptist RC, St Joseph’s RC, Stoneyburn, and Whitdale. What we had left over we donated to West Lothian clothes bank.

In September 2023, we distributed 1,000 bulbs to 4 primary schools: Greenrigg, Stoneyburn, Our Lady’s RC and Falla Hill, along with information envelop and a letter to each Headteacher. The schools were delighted to receive the bulbs and indicated they would be involving their pupils in planting these within school grounds.

In November 2023 we supported the Fauldhouse Penguins swimming club by placing a £50 half page advert in the swimming programme for the 21st annual junior swimming gala held at Xcite Whitburn.

In December 2023 we sent £100 for the toy box appeal, this sum provided 4 boxes of toys worth £80 each, that went to a refuge.

In January 2024 we sent £100 to Link Education, who works closely with teachers, community, and government to strengthen the education system. This £100 enables girls to access education in Ethiopia, with essential school supplies for a term. Provides direct support to the girls by removing the barriers to attending school and empowering them with necessary skills and knowledge for their future.

In April 2024 we held our annual primary school quiz at Polkemmet primary school, Whitburn. 14 primary schools participated. This turned out to be the largest ever number of schools we had participating, plus a very large audience of parents and relatives. The winners Longridge and runners-up Our Lady’s RC will go forward to the District’s Central Area Final. First place received £100 and gold medal, second place received £75 and silver medal, third place received £50 and bronze medal.
